What is the difference between static and electromechanical meters?
Static meters use electronic circuitry (no moving disc) — more accurate, tamper-resistant, and the only type now approved for new installations in Tamil Nadu. All Techno meters are static.
What Class is my meter?
Most residential and commercial installations use Class 1 (±1% accuracy). Industrial and utility billing meters sometimes need Class 0.5 (±0.5%) — Techno offers both.
Can a smart prepaid meter work without internet?
Yes. TMCB 012 SMART supports local RS485 / RF comms; GPRS is optional for remote cloud access. Even without network, the app can talk to the meter over local RF / BLE.
Do you supply meters for solar / bi-directional billing?
Yes — Techno panel meters like the TMCB 021 VAF meter support bi-directional measurement for solar inverters and net-metering setups.
