Retrofit vs new-build

Retrofit: 90% of Panasonic Smart Touch switches fit into the same back-box as Anchor Roma Urban — no civil work. You only need a neutral wire at the switch box. Our team can check your home's wiring via a photo on WhatsApp.

New build: Plan smart automation at wiring stage. Run neutral to every switch box, use 2.5 sqmm for sockets, provide a common Wi-Fi AP. We guide contractors through the BOQ and supply the full kit.

Smart home FAQ

Do I need neutral wire at the switch?

Yes for most Wi-Fi switches. Older Indian homes sometimes don't have neutral at the switch box — in that case we can offer specific "no-neutral" variants at a premium.

Does it work with Alexa and Google?

Yes. The Panasonic MirAIe and Tuya apps both integrate with Alexa and Google Home — voice control and routines supported.

What about warranty?

1-year warranty on smart modules (electronics), 2-year on plates. Return to Sowcarpet counter with invoice.

Is professional installation required?

Any licensed electrician can install. We include the wiring diagram with each smart module. For whole-home automation we recommend an integrator — happy to refer in Chennai.
